Rest in Peace Jeff LaBar

Again, more sad news with another metal passing. I have learned that Cinderella guitarist Jeff LaBar has passed away at the age of 58. Cause of death is still undetermined. With Cinderella being from Philadelphia, I was especially into them and was even more glad when they played Donnington 1987 and gained a huge following of metalheads in the UK. Fellow band members and guitarists have been paying their tributes to him.
Rest in peace Jeff.

I’m saddened over this! I remember their song “Don’t know what you got until it’s gone.” It was an awesome song! And 58 was still so young! RIP Jeff!

That is a great song and he was two years younger than me! That’s a scary thought.

Cinderella were really good back in the mid to late 80s. I’m not familiar with the members, but it’s sad that Jeff didn’t even make it to 60 years old, he was taken away too soon. Another tragic loss for the music world!

It is a another tragic loss. Some say we should get used to the fact that all of the great musical heroes we grew up with are ageing and passing on. Still, that doesn’t make it any easier.

I wouldn’t say get used to it, but just that life goes on. However, I imagine it must be hard for you since you grew up with these legends and they were like a part of your life because of the music and videos on MTV.

They were part of my life and their passing reminds me that I’m no longer a spring chicken.

Way too young, especially as I’m now 60 and want at least 20 more years on the planet.

It would be nice to make to 100 and get a telegram from the Queen or by that time, it will be Charles or William.

Sure would. We’ll be writing away to them when my parents hit 60 years married too.

Nah since we’re the colonies it’s a thing they do. Hit 100 years old or 60 years married and, if you apply in advance they’ll send a letter to you.
